BEA Systems To Ramp Up Headcount

BEA Systems, a provider of enterprise infrastructure software has recently announced its plans to increase its headcount to boost the operations at its new 60,000-square-foot R&D center in Bangalore. The company has a product development and customer support facility in Bangalore, which accommodates 205 development staff in the city, 70 of which are doing support work. In lines with its plans, BEA would recruit 550 development staff soon in its new facility. Alfred Chuang, chairman and CEO, BEA Systems informs that the company would hire both experienced staff and campus recruits. This facility would soon become the largest R&D centre of the company, outside the U.S in the coming years. Techies at the Bangalore center are currently working on development of the company’s WebLogic and AquaLogic products. With a focus on applications in the radio frequency identification and telecom markets, BEA Systems is further planning to establish a solutions centre in Bangalore soon.
