Aztec Software H1 net loss at Rs 29.10 million

MUMBAI: Aztec Software & Technology Services Ltd has posted a net loss of Rs 29.10 million for the half year ended September 30, 2002 as compared to a net profit of Rs 124.40 million for corresponding period last fiscal. The total income has decreased from Rs 492.70 million in half year ended September 30, 2001 to Rs 264.80 million in half year ended September 30, 2002. The company has posted a net loss of Rs 10.60 million for the half year ended September 30, 2002 as compared to a net profit of Rs 138.20 million for corresponding period last fiscal. The total income has decreased from Rs 494.40 million in half year ended September 30, 2001 to Rs 263.50 million in half year ended September 30, 2002. William Chris Brown, CEO of Aztec, said, "The diversification in our customer portfolio and our geographical expansion initiative have been rewarding for Aztec and this can be seen in our results. The last few quarters have been turbulent for Aztec, but we stayed focused on our tasks and have managed to turn around our business. As is apparent from our results this quarter, our concerted efforts are paying off and we look forward to the future with renewed optimism."
