Aztec Q3 turnover down 10 percent

BANGALORE: For the third quarter ended December 31, 2003, Aztec Software & Technology Services Ltd has announced a decrease in turnover of 10.32 percent for the quarter ended on December 31, 2003. The turnover stood at Rs 1,042 lakh as compared to a turnover of Rs 1,162 lakh for the corresponding period last year. The company recorded a net profit of Rs 10 lakh for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2003, as against a net loss of Rs 41 lakh in the corresponding period last year. The Aztec group consolidated net profit increased to Rs 20 lakh for the quarter ended December 31, 2003 as compared to net loss of Rs 28 lakh in the quarter ended December 31, 2002 representing an increase of 171 percent. For the third quarter ended December 31, 2003, the company posted a turnover of Rs 1,042 lakh as compared to a turnover of Rs 1,162 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company added four new customers this quarter. Announcing the third quarter results, CMD of Aztec S Parthasarathy said, "we are glad to announce a third consecutive quarter of profits, this year and this has been possible due to our undeterred focus on new business development. We are seeing significant traction in business and are investing on sales and delivery capabilities. Going forward, our strategy will be continued focus on software engineering services, and an enhanced focus on sales and marketing.
