Avici partners with leading system integrators

MASSACHUSSETTS: Avici Systems (NASDAQ:AVCI) Friday announced it has signed agreements with six system integration partners -- CARIPAC (China and Hong Kong), Mexel (Mexico), Nautilus Hyosung (Korea), Network1 (Brazil), Phitech (Taiwan), and Satelcom (United Kingdom) -- to market, resell, and support Avici's IP routing platforms. Avici is establishing collaborative relationships with these partners to deliver compelling solutions and personalized service in support of customer applications worldwide. The new Avici Certified Expert (ACE) Program provides partners the ability to differentiate their solutions from competitors by partnering with the leader in high-availability routing to help their customers offer profitable new services. ACE Partners can leverage Avici's proven reliability, scalability, and extensive operational experience in powering some of the world's largest and most reliable IP networks. This includes using Avici's new Quarter-rack Scalable Router (QSR(TM)), the industry's smallest footprint scalable router with leading port densities and Non-Stop Routing (NSR(TM)) to provide high quality differentiated IP solutions with strict service level agreements. Only Avici delivers 99.999% availability supporting real time applications and the ability to scale in-service to larger systems in a cost effective and non-disruptive manner. Satelcom, Avici's partner in the U.K., has extensive experience in designing, implementing and upgrading network infrastructures. Satelcom is part of the Datatec group, an IT services group with annual revenues in excess of $2.5 billion. "We chose to partner with Avici because they can deliver innovative routing solutions to enable Satelcom to provide our customers with a best-of-breed core routing solution that can deliver significant advantages in the areas of reliability, scalability, and cost-savings." said Peter van de Geest of Satelcom. In order to widen its reach in the growing Asian market, Avici is aligning with leading system integration partners CARIPAC, Nautilus Hyosung, and Phitech. These new partners join CTC (Itochu) and Nissho Electronics, which already distribute Avici's products in Japan. CARIPAC, a leading system integrator for Hong Kong and mainland China has chosen to partner with Avici to deliver differentiated routing solutions to its customers. CARIPAC specializes in constructing IP infrastructure and delivering Internet-enabled application solutions to customers. Nautilus Hyosung, a leading system integrator in Korea has chosen to partner with Avici to deliver compelling new solutions to its customers. In Taiwan, Avici and Phitech will work together to deliver best-in-class routing solutions. Avici's routing products will enable Latin American companies to support cost-affective in-service growth without sacrificing quality and reliability.
