BANGALORE: Aventeon Inc., a leading US and Europe based provider of targeted software solutions that empower mobile workers, has announced the launch of its Development Centre, Aventeon Software India Private Limited in Bangalore, India. The Centre, which will play a key role in application development and maintenance of Aventeon software, will double its current staff strength by the end of the year. In March 2004, Aventeon successfully closed its first round of institutional financing with 3i, Intel Capital and TVM. Aventeon Inc. develops and markets software products that allow mobile employees to access information and applications from mission-critical back end enterprise systems anywhere, anytime and trigger back-end processes directly through a mobile handheld computing device. Instead of displaying applications separately on separate mobile devices, Aventeon's software provides information and application access filtered and optimized for the end user's requirements and capabilities. All relevant information is pro-actively pushed to the mobile handset (e.g. PDA, Smart Phones). Without transcoding complex back-end IT systems, the user is presented with a clear, easy-to-use overview of all information he really needs. As Aventeon's software builds on an advanced synchronization engine, all this information is also available in an offline mode, critical when mobile data connection is temporarily unavailable. "We've entered the Indian market as we see it as one of most promising markets in terms of mobile usage and application development. We are committed to make our India centre a world class development centre and will seek to hire, retain and develop the best of breed engineers and developers," said Mr. Krishanu Seal, MD, Aventeon Software India and Chief System's Architect, Aventeon Inc. "Our attractiveness as an employer of choice is that we offer high quality development work with direct visibility to its relevance and application in the form of real world product releases." Employees recruited for the India Development Centre will also be offered global career opportunities with Aventeon's Europe and US subsidiaries through the company's unique Employee Exchange programme. In addition the company will also offer competitive salary and benefits packages to successful recruits. Aventeon applications are designed specifically for the functional areas of sales, service and logistics as well as for several industry verticals, namely for utility, transport & logistics, manufacturing, telecom and retail. The company currently offers products such as Logistics.ONE, Service.ONE and Sales.ONE.
