Bangalore: Avanade is betting on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), digital collaboration and e-commerce installations to drive its future business. The company expects to track projects in these domains in the U.S., the UK and Japan. A joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture, Avanade has a headcount of 7,500 globally. In India, the company has been operational for five years and is located in six cities. "We are present here to influence the unique Indian talent," said Mitch Hill, CEO. The company will not focus on India as a market immediately, he added. SOA is about designing and developing solutions that make business sense, rather than technology centric solution approach. It gives bottom line cost savings and top line revenue growth. Over 60 percent of Avanade?s offerings are on SOA. "The big moment for SOA will only come when business processes combine with applications to become more flexible and real-time," said Ashish Kumar, Chief Technology Officer, Avanade.
