BANGALORE:Design automation solutions provider Atrenta Inc., which has an R & D center in Noida near New Delhi, is opening its second facility in Bangalore. To commence with less than 10 people this year, the new center will also have field applications engineers to serve the firm's customers in the city. The Bangalore center will be scaled up next year to have at least 40 engineers in both the focus areas, said Sushil Gupta, vice president and managing director, Atrenta India Pvt. Ltd. In all, Atrenta expects to have 200 engineers by this year-end, up from about 150 now. The new center will focus on 1 Team: Implement, a part of the new family of solutions from the company. Atrenta hopes to cash in on its image as a startup to attract engineers, a commodity that is of short supply in the country and even more so when it comes to EDA personnel.
