Atrenta announces 'Made in India' EDA software

NEW DELHI:San Jose, CA based Atrenta Inc. has launched 1Team Implement, the first of a 1Team family of design automation software products, that was developed in India.
The software, improves the risk/reward equation for developing electronic products, enabling semiconductor firms create more systems faster and at lower cost, the company claimed.
The company will roll out additional 1Team products in the coming months. 1Team Implement is the first unified software for physical planning and prototyping, from the architectural level to RTL and on to gate levels, Atrenta claimed.
"Systems are becoming extremely complex as chip processes shrink below 130 nanometers and embedded software requirements soar. The convergence of consumer, computing and communications technologies is driving new economic and time-to-market pressures," said Ajoy Bose, chief executive officer of Atrenta.
"And at the same time, electronics companies are grappling with the logistical complications of increasingly dispersed design teams. Atrenta's 1Team solutions give companies a way to rein in the risks and expense, and aggressively pursue innovative new product directions even in the face of these challenges. Predictive Development is a key to surviving and succeeding in this new era," Bose said.
