Artech unveils multilingual computing software

NEW DELHI: Artech India launched multilingual computing software in four Indian languages sporting features such as an independent office suite, unicode compliance and inbuilt transliteration. The product would soon be ramped up to allow computing in 16 Indian languages by December this year, the Artech India Country Head, said Yogendra Tripathi. The product - Akshar Naveen, which allows computing in English, was released in Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi and Gujarati. The company is also planning an Akshar Naveen version in Linux, which would be ready by October or November this year. Akshar Naveen has a list price of $290, and an average price of $104 for a minimum of 600 copies. The new product would be sold directly as well as through dealers.
