Aricent to establish CoE for mobile VAS
Bangalore: Aricent plans to set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bangalore to develop mobile value added services (VAS) applications which would deliver over service oriented architectures (SOAs) to its clients. The CoE and the competence centre will develop intelligent network applications and service delivery platforms apart from building customized SOA architectures for delivering and managing content. The new VAS center aims to provide design and content management support to its product development teams. The organization is now in process to increase the people count at its centres in Bangaloe and Chennaiby about 1,000 people and it desires to meet the expectations from telecom service providersfor new products and services. The centre will concentrate on systems design and integration, testing and post integration troubleshooting.Aricent has over 550 customers worldwide which includes Bharti Airtel, Alcatel Lucent, Cisco, Motorola, Samsung, LG, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Vodafone, Virgin Mobile and Texas Instruments. Aricent is seeing a rise in demand from telecom operators for its software solutions. It will join with business groups within Aricent to drive customer projects needing SOA design and development of J2EEE applications.
