Aricent, Sapient to hire 1500
Bangalore: Aricent, a global innovation, technology and services company, and Sapient, a business and IT consulting firm are planning to hire around 1500 professionals in the next three to nine months. While Sapient will hire around 800 professionals, Aricent plans to hire at least 700.

Mid-tier and niche technology companies are returning to the employment orbit as they plan to take in 25,000 to 30,000 experienced hands in the next three to nine months, reports Economic Times. The renewed demand has been spurred by a spurt in outsourcing, better order positions and companies expanding their India operations and moving up the value chain. Other companies on the lookout for trained hands are GlobalLogic India, MindTree, CPA Global, Symphony Services, Citrix, Adobe, Persistent Solutions, nVidia, Amazon, Agilent and Vertex.

"Customers are stretching their dollars, and outsourcing helps them do that. That's what's driving demand for fresh talent at present," says Prashant Bhatnagar, Director-hiring, Sapient. "Lateral hiring is back and there's plenty of demand for those with three to eight years experience," adds Rishi Das, CEO, CareerNet Consulting, a Bangalore-based headhunter which recruits for over 200 technology companies.

Many companies which are now hiring, had no bench staff or have increased their utilization and hence now need more staff as more work is being offshored. "It's like a food chain. Mid-level companies which have invested in niche skills and started with basic tasks like technology support are now capable of delivering complex work like product design," says another Mumbai-based Head Hunter, who did not wish to be named due to client sensitivity.

"Offshoring complex work helps global customers cut costs significantly. That's driving the current demand for experienced professionals."

Companies like Applied Materials, Volvo, Boeing, Bank of America, Amazon, the United Health Group and Societe Generale have farmed out work for new enterprise applications development, R&D, engineering services and professional services - like customised software development - among others, driving demand.

2: Do you want to have you own bags? Go to the Coach Outlet Online itself to see pictures of the genuine Coach Handbags Factory. When you visit the Coach Factory Outlet, you'll see the materials used and colours used for specific Coach Purses USA. No crooked stitch work in Coach Outlet Online Store. If you can familiarise yourself with them (and scope out Coach Purses Factory and plan when to buy them), then that's already a step ahead Prada Shoes. Start by Louis Vuitton Handbags Outlet at the stitch work. Rushed and mass produced Air Yeezy Shoes often have crooked stitch work, Coach Factory Outlet Online which makes Bags's handbags leather clones all the worse-looking. Also, if you examine Bags bags wrapped in Gucci Mens Shoes, that's a big no. Bags doesn't come wrapped in Coach Outlet Online. When you check the logo and fonts on the alleged Nike Dunk Shoes, they look unpolished, Coach Outlet, contraband. Just the leather quality and Louis Vuitton Outlet that comes with it are the give aways.

3: I am the insider.

1. Never ever JOIN Aricent if you have other options in hand. If not you can join for the initial raise in your salaries and eventually say after 1 year you must change to a new comapny. Because the increments are just peanuts.

2. Onsite - 1 in 200 gets onsite. That too short term 2-3 months. 1 in 500 gets a long term onsite. There are very less number of projects which are of longer duration. So an employee is moved to other project new/older. If moved to new project its there could be chance for onsite, but older project means again you wont get onsite as there will be already a long queue.

3. IJPP - Internal Job Posting Policy - Is just a mockery to get the CMMI 5 certification. You need to spend atleast 18 months with same Project Charge Code then only you can change your project to another BU (Businness unit). But many projects doesn't last for this long duration. So you may never complete 18 months on a single Charge Code.

4. Promotions - Buttering and licking is must. If your earlier project get completed or gets scrapped and you have been moved to a new project under new Manager. Then its like joining a new company altogether. Even you might have done exeptional work in you previous project, nothing will be considered and you won't get promoted. Some times you get less performance rating on the basis that your previous project got scrapped/completed. (My Manager gave me this reason).
Just got to know that from now on
SE - SSE will take min 3 years (2 years as Best Performed)
SSE - TL will take min 3 years (2 years as BP)
2 years BP in a row or Vital Performer with good rating for 3 years is impossible because no project runs for that long duration. So your new manager may not award you with a BP even you are of BP quality. Just think about it.
Whole Peformance rating process is just a gimmick. Your performace really doesn't matter for promotions. You must be lucky that a project runs more than 3 years for you to get all the advantages of your extra efforts.

5. Work Pressure - Its a mix bag. But in many projects work pressure is very high. Manager order you to come on weekends at their will. This happens all the time.

6. Quality of work - Its very low. Its seems that a fresh computer Diploma holder can also do the work what I can currently doing with 5 years of experience.

7. Learning - Very good at start say after 1 year it stops.

8. Salaries
SE - 3.5
SSE - 5.5 (min) (atleast 3 years as SE)
TL - 7.5 (min) (atleast 3 years as SSE)

5: Aricent is the worst company to work with. few things i would like to mention
1. In the name of flexible timing, aricent sucks
2. manager purely believe in buttering. if u r good in buttering then it is for you.
3. In the name of performance they can do anything to you.
4. HR department is pathetic
5. BU system is so strong that you can change the company but can not change the project.
6. They are not getting new business so they are sucking employee to show profit to their father(KKR).
7. Salary Hike in Last three year has been worst.
In short they are still alive on the name of Hueghes(the truely technical person were there at that time)

so if have offer from aricent, dont even think to join. wait for any better offer. Aricent hasn't got any new business. they are hiring because they fired at least 1400 people few months back.

Never trust Sapient , its a foolish company which hires randomly and reduces more randomly .. people might have heard the layoff's of fresh interns and associates till the last fiscal.
It has given pink slip to almost 2000 employees.
Same would be the condition in future also when it doesnt need people anymore.
Better stay away from Sapient.

Hello Readers,
The news of hiring is always welcome. Whether its for a long term or short term. In IT jobs there is no such thing as Job security. And yes layoffs are always there in IT companies. One concept should be remembered that layoffs are never considered in a road map of any Organization. It happens time to time depending on situations and this so called situations are very dynamic in nature. So never blame any company for layoff because it happened/happens/happen in each and every organization. But always welcome hiring as it shows prosperity of Organization and for individuals..

Regards,
Sashikanta

Aricent is a very poor company to work with. There are some manager who don't know how to Manage and assign opportunity. If person who does not know anything and doing buttering to Manager get good reward. But the person who do really good for the Project & company not for Manager get fired by saying that he/she did good for assigned work but not getting gel with team.DP is one of the chutiya manager.
