ArchPro establishes India R&D Center

FREMONT, CA: ArchPro Design Automation, Inc., makers of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) products for 90/65nm electronics design process technologies has established PowerPlay Automation India Pvt. Ltd. as its Bangalore R&D center. PowerPlay will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of ArchPro. Initial details for ArchPro’s System-on-a-Chip (SoC) 90/65nm EDA product are expected early in the second half of 2005. It has also closed its series A funding round. This funding round will be used to fund the expansion of ArchPro’s staff and accelerate product development. “Our series A funding will inject ArchPro with the needed capital to continue development of our initial products.” commented Srikanth Jadcherla, President and CEO of ArchPro. “We’re certainly excited about the infusion and our ability to bring to market an advanced EDA product that addresses the challenges facing SoC designers and management.” In addition, Pratap Reddy of STV has also joined the board of ArchPro.
