New Delhi: NRI billionaire L N Mittal-led ArcelorMittal has paid
600 crore to the Karnataka government for land in Bellary, state Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said here today.
"ArcelorMittal's plant is to come up in Bellary. It has given us
600 crore for land," Yeddyurappa told reporters here after the meeting of the National Development Council, the highest policy making body comprising Chief Ministers and the Planning Commission.

The world's largest steel maker had last month entered into a pact with the Karnataka government to set up a
30,000-crore plant and expressed hope that the progress on the project would be faster than that at its plants in Jharkhand and Orissa.

1: i think that's a brilliant move by Mr.
Mittal.. he is the steel king of the world
and doing a deed like this will not only
provide employment to the people of karnataka
but also the young engineers who will be
greatly privileged by working with a giant
company like this.
i hope he comes up with few more investments specially in the areas that are industrially backward. nyways.. besties for his upcoming plans.
