Bangalore: According to analyst Peter Misek of Jeffries, Apple's next iPhone would be the 'iPhone 4S'. He said that the next phone of Apple will not have too many changes rather a few features of the iPhone4 will be upgraded, like better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ support. Hence the phone will not be called iPhone 5. Rumors are that the phone will debut in September.
The phone will be upgraded with an 8MP rear camera, a Qualcomm baseband for both GSM and CDMA models and an improved antenna design.
Apple has also plans of implementing 4G chipsets in its next phone to support high speed 4G wireless networks. But the chips are yet to be ready and tested. The Qualcomm built 4G chipsets is not yet available in quantity for Apple, hence the iPhone 4S might not be compatible with faster LTE 4G networks. According to reports it is said that the chipsets will not make into the handsets until 2012. The production of the phone will begin in July or August.
Misek also revealed the next version of the phone will work with Sprint, T-Mobile, and China Mobile.
