Bangalore: Amidst drooping shares and absence of the master pitchman Steve Jobs, Apple rolled out some upgrades to the home movie and photo softwares. Though the iPhone maker did not come up with any voguish creation, it presented its slimmest 17 inch laptop. At the Macworld trade show, the company also dropped the copyright protection from its music sold on the Internet. The iTunes music store, will offer its 10-million-song library free of digital rights management, by the end of the quarter for between 69 cents and $1.29 a song. The store has, by far sold six billion songs. The songs will also be available on the iPhone over the air, instead of a computer. However, in the event, Apple did not launch any major new product, as it had in past years. "There were some innovative products, but no true blockbusters. People were bullish going into it, and now they're kind of taking money off the table," said Robert Francello, Head of equity trading for Apex Capital hedge fund in San Francisco. Infact, after this year's gathering, Apple is withdrawing from Macworld, an event owned by IDG World Expo. In years past, the company's Macworld product launches had produced so much buzz that they managed to overshadow events at the far larger Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which will kick off this week in Las Vegas.
