Apple to start white iPhone 4 sale by end of April

Bangalore: Apple has announced that it will start shipping of the white version of iPhone 4 from the end of this month. Both AT&T and Verizon Wireless will carry the white model. The iPhone 3GS and iPad 2 are available in white model. Apple had announced that it would release a white phone long back. But because of some unspecific manufacturing problem, they had delayed it for ten months.
Since Apple has introduced the first iPod media player in 2001, the color white has been a popular color for Apple's gadgets. iPhone 3GS model and iPad 2 was available in white, which went on sale last month. According to Apple, by adding the white color, it will encourage the demand of the Apple products. The company is also planning to unveil a new iPhone at its June developers' conference.
Apple raised $3.73 to $336.13 in Nasdaq Stock Market trading. The shares have advanced 4.2 percent this year. AT&T, based in Dallas, slipped 29 cents to $30.18 on the New York Stock Exchange. Apple also broke its own record in its last fiscal quarter by selling 16.2 million iPhones.
