Apalya TV to bring Disney channel on mobile handset

Mumbai: Disney Channel has entered a deal with Apalya TV which will facilitate kids and their families to watch Disney's popular shows through mobile and data card service anywhere from October 27. For the first time, Disney Channel's long form content will be available to mobile and data card users across India. Apalya TV services are available over all leading mobile networks such as Idea, Vodafone, Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, MTNL, Reliance, Docomo, Tata Indicom, Tata Photon Plus, Virgin VFlash, Reliance Net Connect. "Disney Channel Mobile TV is an exciting way to leverage technology and create an additional touch point, bringing kids and families closer to our universally popular stories in one of the largest and fastest growing mobile markets in the world. With Telecom players set to launch 3G services in India, mobile video streaming services promise to only get bigger and more popular in the coming years," said Raju Venkataraman, General Manager, Disney Media Distribution India. Now through the mobile handsets or through their data card connection, kids and families will be able to view all their favorite Disney Channel shows.
