Apache expands India operations

Bangalore: Apache Design Solutions, a supplier of Electronic Design Automation (EDA)tools for high-performance system-on-a-chip (SoC)has announced expansion plans for India operations as part of its global expansion strategy. The Indian unit located in Bangalore will increase its headcount by over 400 percent in 2006 and plans to double the current headcount in 2007. This idea is to provide around-the-clock support to its customers worldwide. Andrew Yang, CEO, Apache Design Solutions, said, “India has been recognized as a region with engineering expertise in the high-technology semiconductor and IC markets. We are committed to ensuring the long term success of our international offices and providing support and engineering excellence to our customers." Apache’s expansion is also to keep up with its increased customer demand for the company’s full-chip dynamic power closure solutions for SoC designs at 130 nm processes and below.
