Animation academy inaugurated in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje Saturday inaugurated an animation academy - Raj Kaushal - in collaboration with DQ Entertainment here, to train students in modern animation for all platforms of TV, films and games. The knowledge sharing partnership with DQ Entertainment is part of the government's youth welfare activities. "The academy would offer a 6-month-course based on two-dimension and three-dimension animation using Flash, Compositing and Digital Ink & Paint. The eligibility for the trainees would be bachelors or masters in fine arts with a creative bent of mind," a company official said. The company opened its first academy in Bhopal in collaboration with the government of Madhya Pradesh. "We truly believe that a vast amount of untapped and potent talent lies in the rural India. Our focus now is to penetrate into the two and three-tier cities to unleash the power of animation and the wonders it can do if it is chosen as a career option," said Hatim Adenwala, vice president human resources, DQ Entertainment. The Jaipur academy will have a capacity of 100 students, and they will be trained in two batches of 50 each, he added. DQ Entertainment is a leading animation and gaming art company with over 2,200 highly skilled professionals working out of its state of the art facilities in Hyderabad and Manila, Philippines.
