Analog Devices expands its Bangalore development center

Bangalore: Analog Devices, a provider of semiconductors for signal processing applications expanded its development facility in Bangalore, which is equipped to accommodate approximately 400 engineers.
According to the company, the new facility will allow better collaboration between the company's DSP, Analog and Software divisions and will help India center to further develop its core strengths such as analog IC design, processor IC design, and multimedia embedded software. The company, which currently employs 220 engineers in India, also plans to start hiring in the coming months.
Recently, the company completed its 15 years of operations in India. "The innovation process at Analog Devices is a global effort, and our India Product Development Centre (IPDC) continues to play a critical role in delivering innovative products and solutions to our customers," said President and CEO Jerald Fishman.
According to S. Karthik - Engineering Director, IPDC, Analog Devices, is one of the earliest semiconductor companies to set up operations in India, and also one of the few to be involved in all stages of product development from "Concept to Silicon to Production,"
Today, the engineers at Analog Devices India contribute significantly to its key products such as Blackfin processors and several advanced analog and mixed signal products aimed at various market segments. "Most importantly, we have developed five generations of ADI's industry-leading SHARC digital signal processors out of the India centre," Karthik added.
