Amadeus Capital Partners appoints Bhagwat

LONDON: Amadeus Capital Partners Ltd., a European technology investor has appointed Shantanu Bhagwat as business development partner in Asia. Formerly an associate, Bhagwat joined Amadeus in 2001. Most recently he was a management consultant with Monitor in London. "He has contributed substantially to the many new investments we have made in the past three years and in helping our portfolio companies weather the downturn since 2000," said Amadeus' Chief Executive Anne Glover. Amadeus has offices in London and Cambridge, U.K. Since its inception in 1997, Amadeus has backed over 45 companies in the U.K. and continental Europe, covering computer hardware and software, mobile and fixed communications technologies and medical technologies. Amadeus advises on the investment of GBP288 million, raised through three funds.
