Alpha and Omega conjoins Russell's annual reconstitution

Sunnyvale: Alpha and Omega Semiconductor (AOS) a designer, developer and a supplier of power semiconductors has joined hands with Russell 3000 Index which forms a part of the U.S. component of Russell Global Index. Alpha's stock was enumerated to Russell 3000(R) Index to constitute a part of the annual reconstitution. Dr. Mike F. Chang, AOS's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, said "AOS is very pleased to join the Russell 3000(R) Index. The inclusion reflects the success we have seen as we continue to execute our growth strategy. We believe our membership in the Russell Indexes will enhance our visibility with the investment community and represents another important milestone." The total market capitalization at the end of May shows that the annual reconstitution of Russell's U.S. indexes enamors 4,000 largest U.S. stocks. The membership with Russell 3000 Indexes automatically includes Russell 1000 and Russell 2000 and other growth and value indexes. The factors which confirm equity indexes with Russell are market capitalization rankings, style attributes and objective. Investment managers and institutional investors utilize Russell indexes for index funds and as touchstones for passive and active investment strategies. At present an industry with $3.9 trillion assets form a part of Russell's yardstick. During the 1980's Russell's multi-manager investment business developed these investment tools.
