Allsec net double, looking for acquisitions

CHENNAI: Allsec Technologies Ltd has reported a net profit of $1.3 million on revenue of $5.46 million for the second quarter of the current financial year, as against a net profit of $0.67 million on revenue of $3.42 million during the corresponding period last year. The Chennai-based company provides contact center and third party voice-based BPO service. During the quarter, Allsec acquired one of the top Australian telecommunication companies as its clients. The pilot project has already started, Allsec Technology’s founder and President, Adi Saravanan said. The company’s Director and Chief Executive Officer, Jagadish Ramamoorthi said: “For the second quarter the company added 150 employees, which has taken its total staff strength to 1,887 people. The company is planning to increase the headcount by another 3,000 people by March 2006.” Apart from this, the company is looking to acquire a company. Announcing this Saravanan said: “We are actively looking to acquire companies in other cities.”
