Allianz Cornhill to invest more in Kerala's Technopark

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Allianz Cornhill Information Services (ACIS), an offshore centre of Allianz Cornhill of Britain, will increase its investment in Technopark here by bringing in another 350 million. Rakesh Gupta, chief operating officer of ACIS, said the company has invested 80 million since beginning operations one year back. "As part of our ongoing expansion plans we would invest 350 million and by the end of 2005 our total staff strength would go up from the present 150 to 500," Gupta told IANS. The company has already acquired 55,000 sq ft space apart from the present 15,000 sq ft they currently occupy. Andrew Torrance, chief executive of Allianz Cornhill, will open the new office on Oct 11. Allianz is a leading global provider of insurance, banking and asset management services with presence in more than 70 countries.
