Airtel Networks Down in Western Maharashtra

Bangalore: A technical glitch in Bharti Airtel's provider systems has led to a service outage in the Western part of Maharashtra.

An Airtel Spokesperson told PTI, "A technical outage has affected our network in the western region, resulting in disruption of some services. We are working toward rectifying the outage at the earliest. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers." According to PTI, nearby areas, like Pune, have also been affected with technical difficulties. Airtel customers have lodged their complaints on the official Twitter account of Bharti Airtel. Since, Airtel is one of the official network partners of Blackberry; Blackberry has been severely affected because of the technical problems of Airtel.

According to IBN Live, a major fire in the Malad data center of Airtel has affected its services. Airtel tweeted the following, "Some Airtel customers may be experiencing connectivity issues due to an unforeseen technical outage on some circuits in Western region," as stated in the article. Also, no fixed time period has been stated by Airtel to rectify this problem.
