Aircel and RIM join hands for BlackBerry

Bangalore: The latest telecom service provider to launch BlackBerry services for its customers in India is Aircel, which will be joining hands with Research in Motion (RIM) for this purpose. The company is currently offering a range of BlackBerry smartphones and services for enterprise and individual customers on its network across all the circles it is operating in. The current offers include BlackBerry Pearl 8110, BlackBerry Curve 8310, BlackBerry Curve 8900, and BlackBerry Bold 9000. Gurdeep Singh, COO, Aircel said, "We have gained significant momentum in expanding our operations in India and the launch of the BlackBerry solution is of strategic importance for Aircel's growth. With the availability of a wide range of BlackBerry smartphones on our network, our customers can find the right model for their work and personal needs." The service will allow customers to access up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts (including most popular ISP email accounts) from a BlackBerry smartphone.
