Agilent to open center in Bangalore

NEW DELHI: Agilent Technologies has said it will set up new center in Bangalore for life sciences measurement business. The center, a 200 seater facility, will also provide provide customer and sales support for its domestic electronic business. "We will be locating our entire life sciences measurements solutions and products business at Bangalore for which we are setting up a center there," Agilent Technologies Managing Director Venkatesh Valluri said. He said the center will have the capacity to have a "couple of hundred" people and would also be the base for the company's domestic sales and customer support for its electronics measurement business. Though the work on the new center has started and is expected to be completed by next year, Venkatesh refused to specify the investment on the new center. ‘We are looking at 300 percent growth in India with the life sciences measurements and electronics measurements contributing equally,” he said.
