Aftek Infosys Q2 net rises 27.50%

MUMBAI: Enterprise-wide business management solutions major Aftek Infosys has posted a 27.59 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 12.87 crore in second quarter ended December 31, 2003, compared to Rs 10.09 crore recorded during the same period of the previous fiscal. The company's total income for the quarter under review rose to Rs 35.43 crore, as against Rs 22.91 crore posted during the second quarter of last year, Aftek Infosys said in a release here on Friday. Aftek Infosys reported a 60.18 per cent increase in its net sales during the quarter under review at Rs 35.12 crore, compared to Rs 21.93 crore posted during the corresponding period of year 2002, it said. It has apportioned Rs 3.67 crore towards depreciation during the quarter under review, compared to previous year's second quarter depreciation amount of Rs 47.61 lakh, it said, adding the increase in depreciation is due to acquisition of Intellectual Property Right (IPR) of Rs 38.49 crore in FY '03. For the six-month period ended December 31, the software company recorded a net profit of Rs 25.95 crore on a total income of Rs 66.90 crore, compared to a net profit of Rs 20.05 crore on a total income of Rs 43.69 crore, it added.
