Bangalore: Jace Johnson, former Chief of staff to Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), has signed on as the Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy with Adobe Systems. Johnson, who will be based in Washington, joins Adobe's Director of Public Policy, Paul Hughes, who served with the National Security Council in the Clinton White House. Before joining Hatch's office in 2002, Johnson was Director of Finance for Corvis Corporation, a data, voice, and media solutions startup company. In this role, Johnson was integral in securing several rounds of financing, culminating in a public offering in July 2000. Johnson also helped build the company to an international entity with more than 3,500 employees worldwide and a market cap of over $40 billion. Corvis Corporation was later purchased by Level 3. Previously, Johnson worked as Manager of Financial Analysis and Planning at VISA InterActive, a wholly-owned subsidiary of VISA International, which concentrated on building out the nation's home banking infrastructure in the mid-1990s. Johnson earned a master's degree in business administration from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Brigham Young University.
