Bangalore: After the most hyped war between HTML and FLASH, Adobe, the proprietary owner of Flash player finally acknowledged HTML.

Adobes flash player technology runs only on adobes action script which is used to present the multimedia and videos on the web. But with the introduction of HTML5, users are given the opportunity to build the applications by using open java script language, CSS and HTML.

Looking at the vast scope in the HTML area, Adobe is forced to end its conflict with the HTML. Adobe had already dropped its projects on developing the mobile version of flash player and now focuses towards developing the tools to support HTML5 and CSS. Adding to it, Adobe recently launched Adobe Edge, a smarter tool for animating the contents using web standards. Adobe is also planning to build the cross-platform applications to fill the gap between HTML and JavaScript and to introduce the capabilities of HTML to its products like Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

The developers seem to be happy with Adobes embrace of HTML. “The problem is, making a presentation is not easy alone with the HTML5. So the combination of Adobe and HTML will produce a faster and easier tool” says a developer. Adobes new product Adobe Edge promises to be good on the UI and the tools but it needs more refinement which we can expect in the future.
