Adobe Flash Media Server 4 is available on AWS

Bangalore: Adobe Flash Media Server is now available on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Currently it is available on a pay as you go model which Adobe says will reduce the cost of deployment. Adobe said Flash Media Server on AWS allows users to run multicast and live packaging with HTTP Dynamic Streaming, RTMFP technology that reduces bandwidth usage, real-time interactive applications and peer-assisted communication - without the up-front investment in software licenses. David Wadhwani, Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Creative and Interactive Business Unit, Adobe said, "Adobe Flash Media Server on Amazon Web Services helps to reduce the costs associated with deploying advanced media experiences across multiple screens, including multi-user games, video chat and video streaming." Pricing starts at $5 per month with CPU charged from $0.44 per hour.
