Adobe Acrobat 8 software now in India

New Delhi: Adobe Systems has introduced Adobe Acrobat 8 software in India. The new version would provide knowledge workers with innovative tools for communicating and collaborating across the boundaries of operating systems, applications and firewalls, the company claims. “With Acrobat 8, Adobe is going to capitalize on the digital communication boom in India. It would enhance workflows and enable real time collaboration across companies without any barriers,” said Adobe Systems India country sales manager Sandeep Mehrotra. With its new release, the company plans to target verticals like engineering, manufacturing, entertainment, government and BFSI. The product is said to take document collaboration, PDF content reuse, PDF forms, packaging of multiple documents and controlling sensitive information. The new version would also provide a single-button access to Adobe Acrobat Connect software, which would further provide immediate access to a personal meeting room for real-time web conferencing. Acrobat Standard is priced at Rs 16,000 while Acrobat Professional is priced at Rs 26,000.
