The study conducted by PeopleHealth, a Bangalore-based health management organization surveyed 2,106 employees of seven leading IT firms in the city, 85 percent of the respondents being in the 25-35 age group. A general reaction from the employees is that they feel the pinch when they have to work with uncooperative colleagues or managers, reports DNA.
"We run Employee Assistance Programmes in corporate houses, where a majority of complaints that we receive is either related to personal relationships or relations with colleagues. A hostile work atmosphere or a rude boss creates more unhappiness than not getting a promotion, pay hike or on site job offer," said G Krishnamurthy, CEO, PeopleHealth.
The employees were clinically and personally evaluated in the study. Clinical evaluation included a normal health check, including blood pressure, body mass index, and cardiac and diabetic risk. The personal evaluation included sleep duration and hours spent traveling to and from office, explains Krishnamurthy.
Close to six percent of the participants admitted to suffering from stress and depression. But mostly, the study found the unhappiness among the employees was due to a combination of long hours of traveling, hostile work atmosphere and almost zero social interaction.

I feel crancky and tired at the end each working day.
For a fact today I really dont wanted to come to office I just pushed myself to be in office.

Basically it would be oonnected to the Indian feudal language culture creating the problem. When team work is insisted upon, there is no thought of what is the team with which one has to work with. In India, people come from varying intelluctual and cultural background. All that they share is just a minor input of software knowledge knowledege. It is a terrible thing to be clubbed with persons from rude language cultural connections. Team work would become an effort at controlling fury and irritations.

Wherever you are this result holds true. Its not that the bosses are unaware of this, yes, even they know about this. unfortunately they are helpless, the competition in the business makes them to pass on the burden on their sub-ordinates..afterall they too are human beings and would have experienced these in their premature days.
Its all with us on how we handle to the pressure, if you cannot say it upfront that you are not capable of doing this..by this the bosses would know the capability of an employee...

Happiness and Peace are internal things NOT external, more u search 4 outside more you want but it never ends.People should learn how to give what they have like knowledge, time etc.... not money,People go to temple,church,mosque...but how many go to Orphanage home once in a 3 months or 6months.Even i was like you all couple of years back but when i started doing like going MBA colleges sharing my knowledge their is a feeling i am giving back something ,please know who u r that makes more sense than a onsite job..........
