The exposure to technology for Indian startups in partnership with global companies like RIM from Canada will get a big boost this collaboration. Following this in less than 2 weeks, RIM opened an innovation zone for BlackBerry technologies with a view to motivate young Indian entrepreneurs. Known as ‘Rubus Labs’, it is RIM’s first innovation zone in the Asia-Pacific region. As an alliance partner, Startup Village got stock devices of the BlackBerry family, including handsets and playbooks, from RIM. The partnership also facilitated Startup Village to work with BlackBerry partner funds to co-invest in the startup firms.
