L&T is India’s biggest engineering and construction company. It is a multi-national conglomerate head-quartered in Mumbai. A. M. Naik is the M.D. and Chairman of L&T. It has more than 38,000 employees since the year 2010.



FIIs bought 611,844,627 shares in December, 2011, 607,805,009 shares in 2010 and 600,272,813 shares in 2009. There has been a significant increase in FII investments over the last 3 years in L&T.



L&T’s net profit increased from 840 crore in the Q3 of 2011 to 991 crore in the Q3 of 2012. Its Year-on-year Net sales increased by 22.66 percent from 11,413 to 13,999 crore in 2011.
