Bangalore: Brocade announced the appointment of Ashis Guha as its country manager for its India operations. Guha will be entrusted with the marketing and sales initiatives, and will report to Gerald Penaflor, Regional Sales Director, South Asia-Pacific and Korea.
"In the next few years, we expect the number of data centers to grow dramatically in tandem with the increase of enterprises in the country. Many of them will be powered by Brocade's next-generation data center products and technologies that help the business save energy and maximize cost efficiency," said Penaflor.
"With Ashis on board, we are confident that his experience in the India market will further propel the company's position as the industry leader in data center networking solutions and services," he added.
Guha has over 14 years of industry experience in the areas of direct sales, channel management, business development and marketing. He was the General Manager of Sun Microsystems, India, where he was responsible for storage business and strategy for northern and eastern India, prior to his present appointment.
