5 Electric Cars That Failed To Cover Distance
#2 Toyota Rav-4 EV
The ‘zero emission’ model was on public sale only for a period of seven months in 2002 in small quantities. It was California that saw this car at that period according to sources from PC Mag.
The RAV-4 EV was powered by an advanced 27kWh NiMH battery pack that could run the car for 120 miles between charges and came with a 60,000 miles battery warranty.
RAV4EV is also the name of the car that came up as a partnership between Tesla and Toyota, which went into production last year. The range of this car is about 100 miles on a charge.
#1 Baker Electric
Jay Leno, a comedian and car enthusiast who owns a Baker Electric states that women were the target customers of this car. Women also have a small compact inside the car for a touch up with makeup.
But what makes us hard to believe is the range of this car which is 100 miles - the same as today’s Electric Vehicles.
