4. Sky Burial: This ritual is followed when a person dies. Followed only in Tibet, it is a funerary practice by which the deceased is cut in a number of specified places and is exposed to the elements, including creatures of prey. The practice is known as “Jhator” in Tibet, which means “to be charitable to the birds”.
