Bangalore: Concerned about the security of its people following a series of terror attacks in India's financial capital, Mumbai, global technology company Dell has banned its travel to India.
Meanwhile, Union commerce and industries minister Kamal Nath has said the act would not have an impact on the economy, terming the attack a mindless act of violence.
Meanwhile the death toll in the attack crossed 100 mark. Media reports said that gunmen seized the Mumbai headquarters of the ultra-orthodox Jewish outreach group Chabad Lubavitch and that shots had been heard coming from the building.
A group of suspected Muslim militants has claimed responsibility for the attacks. Some media reports attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Taiba. There were also unconfirmed reports that some of the terrorists came in by sea. A boat laden with explosives was recovered later at night off the Gateway of India.
There will be no trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange today in the wake of the attacks. The foreign exchange market and the NCDEX, MCX and MCX-SX will also remain closed today.
