Bangalore: Encouraging startup companies across the globe to connect with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and industry experts, professional networking site SiliconIndia has launched a new section called 'Startup City'. By providing a platform where startups can share their ideas and thoughts, the site will encourage them to innovate, besides offering them exposures to several entrepreneurs.

"It has always been a challenge to find out innovators and connect them with entrepreneurs. So encouraging entrepreneurs both in India and the U.S. to invest in innovations has been our endeavor from the beginning. One decade's effortful activities like interviewing VCs and meeting entrepreneurs have gone behind accomplishing this mission", Says Harvi Sachar, CEO SiliconIndia.
Embellished with several reader's columns like My Entrepreneurial Lessons, VC Talk and Elevator Pitch along with an editorial column called View Point, Startup City is opening a unparalleled knowledge window to the world of startups.
IT honchos like Ganesh Natarajan, CEO at Zensar Technologies; S Janakiraman, President and CEO at MindTree; Phaneesh Murthy, CEO at iGATE and Sashi Reddi, CEO at FXLabs are some of the people writing for the column, My Entrepreneurial Lessons.
Experienced VCs like Ashish Gupta, Managing Director at Helion Ventures; Navin Chadda, Managing Director at Mayfield Fund and Raja Kumar C E O and MD at UTI Venture Funds are writing under the column called VC Talk.
A special feature of Startup City is the column named Elevator Pitch, where startups can share their detailed backgrounder, helping them put forth a VC pitch. This section also offers startups an opportunity to submit a one minute video about the company, helping them add life to their Elevator Pitch.
Editorial column View Point is being taken care of by SiliconIndia in-house writers. Under the column, several sub-columns are incorporated, they include Deconstruction, Trends and Insights, Cool Startups, Inspiration and Ideas and Opportunities. These columns offer updates on startup activities all over the world.

1: I am assuming it would support the
entrepreneurs from the silicon related

Anyways, this would be a good platform and would help many.
