Bangalore: With iPhone buzz being slowed down, the production of the iconic phone may also see a decline. "Previous checks indicated that iPhone production would fall about 10 percent sequentially in calendar 4Q but our new checks indicate that iPhone production could fall more than 40 percent sequentially in 4Q," predicts FBR Capital Markets' note by Craig Berger.
The foreseen fall in the production can be expected to reflect Apple's ramp up of delivery to countries outside the U.S. Infact, the company earlier had to increase production to fill the supply chain overseas. But with continuous demand declining, Apple can end up lowering its production.
Reacting to the prediction, Van Baker of Gartner said, "Such a cut could end up painting an ugly picture, but not as ugly as it seems on face value." The company has shown consistent rise in the profits. The company sold 6.89 million iPhones in the quarter, outpacing BlackBerry maker Research in Motion

1: iPhone prices are not so high, actually its
the price to the quality. But of course not a
solution to the problem.

2: Apple products are always premium products.
Unless they come up with low price models
they can't tackle this huge market. Atleast
they can cut some non-popular, unnecessary
features and bring down the price so that
many people can afford it.
India is not like US or Europe. Quality to Price of a product makes all the difference here.

3: Well....iPhone is not meant for all. It has
its own specific group. Only MMS, Video,
Bluetooth can't make a cell ph complete. In
India the price of the Phone is too high
against its features. So an up gradation or a
fall of price can save this item. I'm still
waiting for its price cut.

5: Yes it would decline in the Market, if it's
not upgrading the Device. it's better to use
a phone which has got accessories compatible
for all users.
Iphone is similar to a device which was used in stone age. no MMS, no video recording, No Bluetooth.
