12 lakh professionals required in computer hardware, networking and security
By    siliconindia news bureau

Pune: Around 12 lakh skilled professionals are required in the field of computer hardware, security and networking in the country, estimates Nasscom. As per the statistics provided by Deepak Kulaskar, zonal head of The Indian Institute of Job Oriented Training (IIJT), the current supply is only 10 percent of the demand.

Despite the growing interest of students in being computer trained especially the programming part but it is hardware, securities and networking which has more opportunities. Moreover, with the Indian hardware sector expecting to touch $62 billion by 2010, makes the demand for professionals more evident.

The main reason for the growing demand and lack of supply is the lack of proper training institutes. IIJT is one such institute which deals in the job oriented training in this field. Apart from it there are a handful like IACM in Kanpur, Jetking and Comnet Univ.

2: As the Indian economy grows at between 8 and 10% rate, and as the IT service businesses grow, common sense says that there will be demand for skilled professionals as mentioned in the news item. It is also possible that many of these jobs do not really require full fledged bachelor degrees. ITI’s and other training institutes should be able to train high school graduates to provide trainees the knowledge and skills necessary to do the work. Communication skills are important as these technical professionals come in contact with customers, and other professionals.

3: This is just a Rosy talk from Nasscom and further added some flavour by Mr Deepak Kulaskar to keep his business going on.Intresting the comment made by him only not any of CEO from Major IT or ITES company who really knows the scenario and requirement.pls provide some basis before comment.Lot of Be btech passout moving here and there why they not getting placed. they all are intelligent they can learn things easily by simple KT. not require training from IIJT.
