One killed, two injured in Chennai airport accidents
By    IANS
Thursday, July 31, 2008
Chennai: One man was killed and two other men were injured in separate accidents involving the vehicles of two private airlines at the Kamaraj domestic airport here Thursday, the police said.

K. Shiva, 33, died on the spot when he came under a Paramount Airways bus a little before noon, the police said. He was employed with Kingfisher Airlines.

Three hours later, another Paramount Airways bus carrying passengers collided with a vehicle of the Spicejet airline, injuring their drivers S. Dinakaran and R. Babu. The Spicejet bus was also carrying passengers.

"The prevalent road rage on the streets of Chennai seems to have spilled over to the airport despite strict rules. Now that it has claimed a life, more stringent precautions will be taken," a senior police official attached to the airport told IANS.
