Comverse wins 2008 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Award

New Delhi: Comverse, a global supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication and billing services, has announced that it has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious 2008 Telecom BSS Vendor of the Year award by Frost & Sullivan. This is the fourth consecutive year that Comverse has been awarded this honor, which recognizes the most outstanding telecom solutions vendor in the BSS (business support systems) segment in Asia Pacific.

"Comverse's success in Asia-Pac is evident from the deployment of its solutions with the top service providers in the region, including high growth emerging markets like India and China," commented Kamlesh Kalwar, Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. "Today's telecom operators need to be highly flexible and agile in order to deliver differentiated services to meet consumers' ever-changing lifestyle and enhance the customer experience. This includes having a scalable back-end and billing system that enables operators to roll-out compelling new services efficiently, while offering a single integrated billing solution and view of the customer. Comverse's converged billing suite has been able to help its customers meet this very need, empowering service providers to be versatile in today's converging communications industry," added Kalwar.

The honor was recently conferred at the 2008 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards banquet in Singapore. These awards seek to recognize companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence - rising above the competition and demonstrating exemplary growth and performance in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) industry across the Asia Pacific region. Contenders for the Telecom BSS Vendor of the Year Award were evaluated based on key performance criteria for financial year 2007, including revenue and revenue growth, portfolio diversity, major wins and key achievements.
