Dear students,
I looked at bloxtr and it looks to me like you have just hosted eyeOS on a
website. What have you built over it?

I think what bloxtr is doing is using an open source operating system eyeOS on
the website.. if u login into the website, u can check that even the name is not
changed and will show eyeOS for most of the application. check eyeOS.org ,
there is a demo available on the website.. I have install this application on my
own site www.amitkothari.com/eyeOS/ .. I'm not sure what is so specially about
bloxtr. anyone can download and run this OS.. and its not developed by Ansar or
Ismail....Please visit eyeOS.org for details

What the hell is this ..
If bloxter.com is the virtual OS
the what the hell is http://eyeos.org
or check out this demo
http://demo.eyeos.org/
Is this a copy of eyeOS... or r they both in developing group of eyeOS. . I cant
believe I felt so insulted in an online forum where I mentioned this thing
stating is a Indian developed product and in the next moment got to knew that
its eyeOS ...

Hello Ismail and Ansar,
Thanks for your idea-a novel one indeed. It really works if implemented well.
But it is novel to the Indian market only. I would like to ascertain that, what
you term as Virtual Compter is not really, a computer, but a kind of storage
device, as it stands now (from what I read from your blog). You may atmost call
it a VHDD (Virtual Hard Disk Drive) or Virtual Drive or Virtual Storage Device
as it stands now. The concept of Virtual Computer has been around since atleast
a year, when engineers in US (and also India) have fabricated what they called a
Web PC. This is really a Virtual Computer, requiring no external CPU box (I mean
a physical device) and monitor (of course, some display has to be there, even a
TV will suffice). This means anyone given access can work on it from anywhere
like they now browse on Internet. They will not need a physical PC anymore. This
is the real Virtual Computer.
The idea of wireless-enabling your concept is very good, and turning it into an
application is a very good way of doing it. It will be something like a
Wi-Storage, or Wi-S for simple. To turn YOUR concept into a Virtual Computer
requires a lot more work that just concentrating on storage alone, you have to
add the power of Wi-Computing or Physical-device-less computing with ALL the
capabilities of a PC or laptop or palmtop.
A lot of literature is already on the Web regarding the Web-PC (the Web-TV was
already in place atleast 4 years ago in US alteast). These ideas may help in
innovating your project into a VC.
Good Luck and hope to see your breakthrough soon!
