Sports city to be built at Noida
Noida: In view of the Commonwealth Games being held in 2010, the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) in its board meeting Thursday decided to establish a world-class sports city.
A sports consultancy service has been appointed to establish the sports city.
The board decided to terminate the contract of the architects firm, which was appointed for two years. They were appointed to develop the city centers at sectors 25-A and 32.
It also decided to increase the floor area ratio of the engineering institutes, management institutes and degree colleges from 100 percent to 150 percent.
Also, residential plots will be allotted through lottery system that were earlier decided to be auctioned in July 2007.
There was 111 percent increase in financial receipts, 106 percent increase in revenue receipts and 20 to 25 percent increase through residential, commercial and institutional receipts.
