PSLV goes into space with 10 satellites
Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh): The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C9 lifted off successfully with 10 satellites - two Indian and eight foreign - at 9.23 a.m. Monday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre here.
Officials said the satellites' launches were progressing as expected. Around 16 minutes into the flight, the satellites will be injected into the polar sun synchronous orbit inclined at an angle of 97.94 degree to the equator.
The PSLV rocket lifted off at 9:20 am (0350 GMT) from the Sriharikota space station in southern India in clear weather.

The successful PSLV launch will open-up many vistas for international collaboration and private-public venture for IRSO. Indian Scientists must get all accolades possible.
We deserve this happy and proud moment for India more often now. Indeed, this success is another right step in right direction to make India, global power & wealthy contender by 2020.

Comment 7: Scients at ISRO, Burocrats at Delhi, the silent supports of the programme and my dear Indians.
A Great moment of achievement. India is a BABY to many in the world. A BAY that setting world records and surpassing the technological might of socalled DEVELOPED nations.
I have always believed INDIA to be a GREAT Nation, where diversity is its UNITY. This has been proved time and again, and we the Indians are not going to look back.
India which was shunned [not so long ago] is today staning up in every field, Space Science, STEEL, Education, Marine, Bio technology, Technology [software & hardware].
I salute to those involved in this achievement. India is proud today and shall continue to be and will regain its lost glory.
Remember India was a respected nation that had Taxila University, Astronomy was highly developed amont others. There was a small dip for a few hundered years, and India is now back to its glorious days.
Indians let us all support every which way possible. Nothing is tooooo big nor anything is toooooooooo small.
Best wishes to India.

Yes yes we are definetely progressing in Science and Technology where there cannot be any political interference or any reservation system.

Comment 17: Congratulations to ISRO team and all hands behind this project....
Till now we saw launching of 2 or 3 satellitles, but 10 satellites launching is really a bigger task......This shows the technology development from our (INDIA) side.
Hats off to all our scientists who put their efforts to made this project successful.
Hope the same team will not be tired in achieving many more bigger huddles...like scramjet and space shuttle..where we can save fuel in big number..which saves a lot of money for INDIA and shows our ability in dealing with bigger projects in world.
I am not telling all has to achieve very immediate, but the achievement should be long lasting....it shouldn't be failed any time in future once developed....
That kind of consistency required to be maintain while dealing with similar projects in any time in future.
Hope ISRO will be successful in future projects too...
Sincerely,
Kumar Kancherla

Comment 22: KUDOS TO ISRO AND ITS SCIENTISTS
Happy moments for all Indians.
India's Polar rocket on Monday successfully placed ten satellites, including the country's remote sensing satellite, into orbit in a single mission.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), set up 35 years ago, may be a baby among the world's space faring nations. But, it is competing with the other biggies to set world records.
And the mission, which has given ISRO an edge over other competitors, is the launch of India's latest Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). Hearty congratulations to ISRO and its scientists for this great feat.
