Singapore's DBS bank to expand in India

Singapore: DBS Group Holdings Ltd, South East Asia's biggest lender, said Tuesday it was setting up eight more branches in India after receiving permission from the Reserve Bank of India.
"This brings DBS India's presence to a total of 10 branches in key cities" in addition to those located in New Delhi and Mumbai, a statement said.
The new branches will be located in the key cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Moradabad, Nasik, Pune, Salem and Surat.
DBS said the new branches should be operational within 12 months.
