GM India scales 68 percent growth in 2007

New Delhi: General Motors India (GMI), a subsidiary of auto company General Motors Corporation, today said the company has registered an annual growth rate of 68 percent in the year 2007.
The company clocked sales of 60,032 units in the calendar year 2007, which was 35,823 units during 2006.
The company sold 6,309 units in December 2007 as against 2,583 units in December last year, making the highest ever monthly sales achieved by GMI since its orgin.
"We have witnessed consistent surge in sales during all months of 2007, which is a clear indication of the success of all our carlines. To make 2008 an even more eventful year, GMI will kickstart its innings at the 9th Auto Expo at New Delhi in January," said P Balendran, VP, GM India.
We will be showcasing the Hummer H3 and Cadillac CTS production cars along with the Chevrolet WTCC Ultra, T2X and Sequel concepts.
"GMI is also working on several programmes that will enable us to launch more new models and exciting marketing initiatives," said Balendran.
