Bangalore: Assessment Tomorrow, UK, has announced its 6th International Conference and Exhibition on "e-Assessment of Skills and Capabilities" to be held for the first time in India on 11th-12th October 2007 at Taj Residency, Bangalore.

The conference and exhibition will focus on the skills gap issue in India and how to deal with increasing numbers and the demands of industry, customers and the economy. Assessment Tomorrow International Conferences are an established leading event examining the practical aspects of implementing e-Assessment and Computer Based Testing and Assessment in education, training and professional development.

The Indian Chapter of Assessment Tomorrow that opens with the conference will bring together experts and experienced practitioners from India and UK. According to Jeff M Ross, Director, Assessment Tomorrow, "The main objective of organizing conferences is to raise the awareness of the importance of e-Assessment, in all its forms from electronic testing to e-portfolio management in measuring Competency, Skills, Knowledge & Understanding".

"The prime focus of Assessment Tomorrow, is to share knowledge and experience and use of the same with IT to measure skills and capabilities changes the whole paradigm", says Ross.

The conference will be chaired by Prof Kalyan Chakraborty, Business Management School of IIT Kharagpur with special keynote address from Mark Kobayashi-Hillary of UK National Outsourcing Association and author of the pathbreaking book "Outsourcing to India".
